Roughcast

A Tyrolean finish on a cottage in Highworth just outside of Swindon

A heavy roughcast on a house in Surrey

Roughcast, Wetdashing and Tyrolean are all similar splatter finishes. These can range in how heavy or light the splatter is. This type of finish is most common on old cottages and in the Cotswolds.

These finishes are prepared in the same way a traditional sand cement render, but a roughcast finish is sprayed on top to match an existing render. These finishes are then painted with a masonry paint.

Here at Polar we have many sprayers and methods of getting different finishes to match any existing building.
